Visayas State University Alangalang has scored a major win in the Philippine Army Cyber Defense Exercises—TRON 2026 Qualifiers, held online on October 25–26, 2025.
Competing against top State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Private Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) across the country, two student teams from VSU Alangalang delivered impressive performances, with one advancing to the national stage.
Team NetNaViscan emerged as the Regional Champion for Eastern Visayas (Region VIII), securing a spot in the national qualifiers. The group displayed remarkable technical skill, tactical planning, and composure under pressure throughout the multi-level cyber defense challenges.
Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) Passer
Visayas State University Alangalang proudly reports that Ms. Christine Joy E. Villegas achieved 9th place in the March 2025 Licensure Exam for Teachers (Elementary Level) with an outstanding score of 92.80%.
